About the Role
Integrated Early Years’ Service are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Welfare Rights Manager to lead and inspire a specialist Welfare rights team who provide high quality advice and support relating to benefit enquiries to parents with children under 5 years of age.
As WRM you will ensure a comprehensive working knowledge is maintained on all aspects of welfare benefits legislation and tribunal representation, Developing and implement on going training, cascade knowledge on welfare rights legislation and associated updates, contribute to development of local strategic service delivery and Ensure that the welfare rights team are able to meet their performance targets: financial, onward referrals, expertise.
The service is delivered from our Children’s centres and works holistically within a multi-disciplinary agency environment.
It is essential to the role that you possess extensive knowledge of social security legislation and tribunal procedure, have a proven track record of managing welfare rights advisors.
Demonstrate strong leadership skills to ensure a high quality service is maintained.
Experience of providing welfare rights advice, casework and representation to the first tier and upper tribunals, and be confident in managing change in front-facing service delivery environment.
Have excellent inter-personnel skills to build and maintain relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver a seamless service for welfare rights clients.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS
